WELCOME
The Valentine Exchange was created in 2015 when I stumbled on another Valentine exchange being run in the midwest. The woman's name was Aunt Peaches and she had over 1700 participants. I was thrilled to find such a thing! My glee turned to dismay when I realized I was participating in the LAST exchange this woman was running. After 7 years, she was shutting down. I was crushed.
I quickly reached out on Facebook, adopted the "Aunt Pammy" nom de plume and soon had 20 of my friends agreeing to send a secret Valentine to an assigned recipient.
We had great success and the Aunt Pammy enterprise was born.
Every year in early January, people sign up to send Valentines to a random list of recipients. In turn, they can expect to get the same number of Valentines, more or less. There's always the element of human error and as they say, "shit happens", but for the most part, senders are getting a good 95% return on their Valentines.
If you would like to participate, follow this blog or the Aunt Pammy's Valentine Exchange account on Instagram.
We take sign ups in early January.
You agree to send out a Valentine (homemade OR store bought) to everyone on your list before Feb. 8th.
All you need to participate is an email address.
We had a record breaking 2019 with over 120 participants.
See you all in 2020 and tell your friends!
